Green Nudge(Photo Credit: Green Nudge) Green Nudge is a social enterprise which works together with businesses and communities to support their journeys in becoming more sustainable. As an initiative to meet the growing demand for green jobs dealing in fields such as sustainability and climate change, Green Nudge launched a green jobs portal, Green Collar. Green Collar works towards a sustainable future by matching sustainability-related jobs between forward-looking employers and job seeking individuals. This not only assists job seekers by compiling green jobs, making them more accessible and visible, but also assists employers by connecting them with talents in the green industries. Mono Foods(Photo Credit: Mono Foods) Mono Foods is a social enterprise which seeks to reduce food waste by diverting food items that are near the best-before date from the bin. We redistribute these food items and educate the public about best-before dates at Yue Hwa @ Chinatown and pop-up booths (e.g. Zero waste market). We also donate these items to residents at rental flats and community centres. Package Pals(Photo Credit: Package Pals) Package Pals is a circular packaging initiative that seeks to reduce e-commerce waste. We collect e-commerce packaging (poly mailers, envelopes, bubble wrap) from the public and distribute them back to businesses looking for eco-friendly packaging options. Education on the issue of packaging waste is also a key goal of our initiative, particularly through partnerships with schools, and organising public or corporate events. The Zero Waste Bootcamp (ZWB) is a 12-16 weeks programme where youth (aged 18-35 years old) team up, create and execute sustainability projects. The ZWB not only encourages environmental stewardship, but also fosters the development of creative solutions to environmental and social problems we face in Singapore today. Moreover, the ZWB equips youth with skills and knowledge to craft meaningful projects with sustainable impacts, giving them the opportunity to gain mentorship in their engagement with Secondguru’s founders as well as partner not-for-profit organisations. World Wide Fund for NatureYouth volunteers raising awareness for zero waste at the Earth Hour Event organised by WWF-SG (Photo Credit: WWF) WWF is one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organisations. Its mission is to stop the degradation of the earth’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. WWF’s “We Got This” movement is an exciting new programme for youth aged 18-25, to learn about sustainability and that empowers them to build a following to drive change via social media. Join our online masterclasses led by world renowned experts and over the course of three weeks, unpack sustainable living, gain digital skill sets that will let your voice be heard in the real world. At the end of these enriching masterclasses, you can submit your unique sustainability idea for an opportunity to take part in our bootcamp to further sharpen your social media skills and take your sustainability ideas to the next level.
