The ASRJC AVA Beach Cleaning video aimed to enhance public awareness about the importance of maintaining clean beaches. The students embarked on activities such as interviews and beach cleanup exercises. Through these efforts, they gathered valuable insights into cleanliness initiatives, community perceptions and underscoring the need for increased public education on environmental stewardship.

The initiative culminated in a beach cleanup where students collected a significant amount of litter, visibly demonstrating the impact of collective community efforts and serving as a practical lesson in environmental responsibility.

The students observed that many of their peers assumed that cleaners were responsible for clearing trays from the tables at eating places.,

The students reflected on how to raise awareness amongst their peers about public hygiene and how returning trays helped create a cleaner environment. The students created a video aimed to spread awareness of the importance of tray return as beyond keeping eating places clean but as an act of social responsibility, kindness to others, and respect toward cleaners.

The students planned to organise regular campaigns with reminders to engage the school community and foster lasting habits and a cleaner environment.

The video conveyed the importance of public hygiene through anti-littering, clean public toilet, and tray return. By showing how small actions could benefit the environment, the students aimed to encourage people to start incorporating these simple acts in their daily lives.

Furthermore, through the video, the students show how one’s small negative action could impact the environment.

Thus, the students wanted to bring across that every little action can impact the environment positively and negatively, and to encourage viewers to think about the consequences before acting.
